Anthony Vaughn

Anthony had a servants heart. I met him while he was working as a janitor on base. My husband was quite ill in 2006 with a ruptured appendix that was misdiagnosed. Anthony was working (doing the Lord´s work) pushing a broom and came up and greeted me with "Hello my friend." He could tell I was praying and concerned. I was privileged to meet Tony through Lisa, Sandra's closest friend. Tony was very particular with his words, always pronouncing my name perfectly but with a slight linger. He greeted me with a warm smile every time, as though we hadn't seen each other in years. Tony's presence during praise and worship at church will be deeply missed. I don't know what memory to even start at. I am just thankful that God allowed us to connect and cross paths at the time that we did and that you became a father figure for me at the time that I needed it the most. I thank you for taking me; a stranger at the time, into your home and allowing me to stay until I got on my feet.
