Apolinar M. Jaramillo

Apolinar M. Jaramillo, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, November 7, 2015 of Congestive Heart Failure. Born in Irapuato, GTO, Mexico he came to the U.S. as a bracero during WWII working in Arizona and California. Later, he went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad as a Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Trackman for 33 years. He retired in 1984. He was a Blacksmith by trade in Mexico, where his family had a blacksmith shop. After retirement he continued his trade making ornamental wrought iron gates, fences, and windows. His intricate designs adorn many buildings and homes in the Valley. He was most happy when he was in his workshop with a hammer in his hand. He is survived by Elvira, his wife of 73 years, sons Daniel (daughter-in-law Rosa Jaramillo), and Paul, daughters Lydia (son-in-law Manuel Gonzalez) and Eunice (son-in-law Celestino Padilla). He also had 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2105 at Victor Valley Mortuary, 15609 11th Street, Victorville, CA 92395.
