Not sure what to say?

I was a bass player in Lonnie Lee Edens. Lonnie and theBig Beats in 1960 to 1962. And Archie was the lead guitar player. He was still in high school when I met him. Archie was a very good kid and a fantastic guitar player. I went in the Army in March 1963 and never got to see him again. I´m saddened to know of his passing. RIP Mr Archie Barnes also Lonnie Lee and Vaughn Quimby who was in Lonnie´s band. Only me and Ron Mason are still left from that fantastic band.

I was introduced to Archie by Dale Smith.
I can remember sitting in Archies little bedroom in Bartlesville on cold winter days and learning blues and rock and roll from someone who was accomplished well beyond his years. Archie was a special soul who will be sincerely missed.

Archie, you were great on guitar and I really enjoyed playing with you in the band "Lonnie Lee and the Big Beats". i was just learning how to play bass and you taught me a lot about how to make music. God Bless. Bob Showler
