Growing up a cousin Ardis was my first and dearest friend. The rusty barb wire fence between our house is now gone along with Ardis and me. Gone are the many happy happy hours of growing up together. Ardis was my inspiration to read and enjoy good literature. A few short blocks we walked to spend many happy hours at the Smithfield,Library. I did not know Ardis that well but I know some of her family. Her daughter Marianne is an amazing woman. Likely in part from her angel mother. Thank you Ardis!
