Come, lay her books and papers by, She shall not need them more.
Growing up a cousin Ardis was my first and dearest friend. The rusty barb wire fence between our house is now gone along with Ardis and me. Gone are the many happy happy hours of growing up together. Ardis was my inspiration to read and enjoy good literature. A few short blocks we walked to spend many happy hours at the Smithfield,Library. Or a next door for swimming a the "mill race creek" Oh those were the days: Where ever Ardis was I was there also. Best friends are only an elbow away. Now a life time of friendship is a memory I will miss her Lois Erickson Rigby

I did not know Ardis that well but I know some of her family. Her daughter Marianne is an amazing woman. Likely in part from her angel mother. Thank you Ardis!

Dear Ardis,
I just finished reading your beautifully written obituary. It was masterfully composed. I thought as I read, what talents you possess in expression of feelings and emotions. I will miss the many happy times spent with you and the remembrances shared of our mutual heritage. You were always a kind and genteel hostess. I am happy that you and Val and little Rob are together again. Many thanks to Marianne and family that were there to comfort you these last many years. I know we shall see each other again. May the Lord bless you always.
