Heaven gained another angel this week. For those growing up in New Jersey and attending @Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church in the 1970s-90s, it meant seeing Der Vahrich Shirinian preside over the services, Victor (Vartkes) Tekirian assist as lead deacon on the altar, and "Uncle Armen" lead the church choir in four-part harmony.
