Rabbi Sher was one of my childhood rabbis at Temple Beth Zion in Buffalo. He was a kind and gentle man who was a support and friend to my family. He once told me how my grandparents, Miriam and Maurice Tabor, had welcomed and nurtured him as a young rabbi, and Rabbi Sher also nurtured our family during difficult times.
