Read MoreI just learned of Arnie's passing and, though I hadn't seen him in 40 years, it hurt my heart. He was our volleyball coach while I worked at DMV in the 70's and 80's. He looked the same in his pix as when I knew him, only with gray hair! My deepest condolences to his loving wife and family.

My prayers and condolences to the family of Arnulfo "Arnie" Sanchez. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Sanchez many years ago when Sacramento Native Tommy Kono came for a visit. I arranged for Mr. Tommy and my father and some other old-timer YMCA friends to go to lunch at Espanol Restaurant in Sacramento and took a photo of them. I had an opportunity that day to meet and converse with Mr. Sanchez and found him a delightful and youthful man. He shared words of wisdom with me that day and...
