Polly, Dr. Baldwin, and Bill
Dr. Baldwin certainly had a long and productive life. I knew him when I was quite young, because his son Dwight and I were classmates at the Rivers School and later at Bowdoin.
My most vivid memory of Dr. Baldwin dates back to about 1960. I was a junior in college at the time and trying to decide my future career path. One weekend Dwight bought me home for a visit, and I had the opportunity to ask Dr. Baldwin what he thought about his choice of becoming a physician and if he had any...
