I am saddened to hear of Dr. Davids passing. He was a colleague, friend and mentor when I was a young professor at Lane College from 1995-1999. He will be truly missed.

I send love to the David family. I want you to know that Dr. David was a special professor and when teaching or preaching you experienced the subject. He has a very special way of delivering a living message. I thank God that I had the opportunity to share life on this earth at the same time as him. Dr. David was a giant among men, preachers, and leaders. His spirit lives on in all of us that he touched through our tenure at Lane College, or the CME Church. He will be truly missed, and they don't make them like Dr. Arthur L. David anymore.

Willie and I were sad to hear of Dr. David's passing. He was one of our favorite professors at Lane, who positively influenced our lives. I always looked forward to attending Dr. David's classes and remember being mesmerized by his teaching and preaching. I thank God for the wonderful memories we have of him. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
