Arthur L. Fricke

I had the pleasure of sharing an office with Dr. Fricke during the summer of 1970 when he was working with Celanese Fibers Co., Charlotte, NC. He was a good friend and mentor who helped greatly with my transition from academia to industry. My one regret is I did not try to make contact with him again until it was too late. My wife, Karen, and I send our sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Dr Art Fricke was my guide for my Master of Science Degree at Virginia Tech during 1970 to 1971, at Blacksburg, Va. He directed my research on Filled Polymer Systems and helped me with my research and encouraged me to publish the findings in a paper at the Virginia Academy of Sciences at Blacksburg in 1971. I am the daughter of Benjamin & Anita Sander of Branchland. Ollie Saunders was my uncle. I have only heard of Dr Fricke but always felt proud of knowing he was a member of our family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Alice and family. Love to all, Drema Sanders Frazier.
