Not sure what to say?

Art was a lab student of mine 25 years ago. He was a great student and a great friend. May his memory be eternal.

Art certainly challenged my intellect on several occasions throughout the years that we engaged in discourse at Vox Popoli.

We certainly did not see "eye-to-eye" on many things of import to each other. However, I can say with confidence that we appreciated each other's point-of-view. And, certainly learned from each other.

I'm going to miss Art. Didn't realize until recently, that he was that much older than me. I'm going to have to consider him as one of my mentors, until...

I can't say that I knew Art well, but I frequented the same blog (Vox Popoli) that he did, and participated in many conversations in which he took part. As I said over at Vox's, Art came across as a good and intelligent man who consistently made useful or insightful comments.

We'll miss his presence among us. No doubt the conversations have been diminished by his absence.

The silver lining of this sad time is that he knew Jesus as his Savior. I can think of nothing more joyful...

You will be missed at the Amphi reunion next week, Art.

Ken Wright

Our deepest sympathy to Art's family and friends. We are shocked at this sudden event. It was only last month we talked to Art about our Amphi 50th reunion which is coming up next week and we had hoped to see him there.

Art's contribution at Vox Day's blog revealed a great mind and a great heart. Art's thoughtful comments will be sorely missed for the time being. This chapter is over. The best is yet to come. For now, condolences, for eternity - joy.

I only knew Art through Vox's blog and was surprised and saddened when his daughter informed us of his passing. Although I didn't personally know Art, his intelligence, integrity and Christian ideals were evident in his comments on the blog. Art was a man that I would have been honored to know in real life.

I'm very sorry for your loss. May God be with you.

I am Art's oldest daughter. Hopefully I can carry his legacy on with at least half the love, grace, honor and strength he did. What a lucky kid I am. I will miss him enormously.

Art was my best friend. His influence on my life will last forever. He was one of the best men I have ever known, and his passing is at once both a great loss and a great victory. He loved Christ above all, and he will now enjoy the peace for which he longed. I'll be seeing you, my friend.
