Not sure what to say?

Art lopes was a true gentleman, friend, mentor and professional restaurant consultant. If he didn't write the book on designing restaurants, he surely could easily have done so. Art's experience in the restaurant supply business was very much appreciated by the ACF Capital Professional Cooks and Chef's Association of Greater Lansing, Michigan for decades. He was honored with our highest yearly honor as Culinarian of the Year for his contributions to our association.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Art (and Sandy), he was an upstanding person and I will remember him forever.

I wasn’t really sure how to express the respect and admiration I’ve had for Art, but I think I can sum it up by saying If I could be the type of person I would really like to be, it would be to live like Art did. He loved his family so much, and yet found the time, the energy, and the drive to do so much for others who needed his help. He lived his life like a guardian angel. I hope I can live what’s left of mine a little more like he lived his.

Wishing the family peace and strength, may God help you through this difficult time. Sending prayers!

Art Lopes was a kind and caring person. He will definitely be missed by many.

Art was a volunteer! Art was one of the nice guys. Art and I did SLBA clean up last year together, I missed seeing him this year. Art got me into Meals on Wheels that I have been doing for five years. Hopefully someone will fill his shoes at MOW. I will miss seeing him at SLBA. My sympathy to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Art's Passing. I enjoyed the years working with him.

Art was so friendly and a truly wonderful member of SLBA . We will miss his great smile and caring ways in everything he did. Those he served in the community will miss him so much, as well. May a lifetime of memories bring peace to his family.
