I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to Arthur's family and friends on his physical departure from among them. His memory will remain forever. I knew Mr. Mahavier back during my days at Sam Houston High School (Class of '73). I was blessed and had the pleasure of being an office assistant and working with him. He was a terrific educator and a wonderful person and always wore a smile. My condolences to the family. JoAnn Adams Conlee

I was lucky enough to work with Mr Mahavier when he was Principal at Irving Middle School in 1978, and got a chance to see what a great man he was. He will be missed dearly and I want to extend my sympathies to you and the family

Its been roughly 50 years since I saw Mr Mahavior at Sam Houston High School. He was among the many dedicated and talented educators I was blessed to know. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
