I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to Arthur's family and friends on his physical departure from among them. His memory will remain forever. I first met Arthur when Claude Kellam, Assistant Superintendent, Personnel, San Antonio ISD, called me into his to tell me that Arthur and I, whom I had never met, were going on a week-long teacher recruiting trip to colleges and universities in West Texas. That was a memorable, exhausting jaunt. May Arthur and all the souls departed rest in peace for all eternity in the House of the Lord where there is no more sorrow and no more pain but only tranquility and peace.

I knew Mr. Mahavier back during my days at Sam Houston High School (Class of '73). I was blessed and had the pleasure of being an office assistant and working with him. He was a terrific educator and a wonderful person and always wore a smile. My condolences to the family. JoAnn Adams Conlee

I will always remember him, he was always well dressed. He wore a tie every day. He was a very soft but stern spoken gentleman. He was so proud of our school as it being one of the newest remodeled campuses. Thank you for all that you did. For all your students every where you walked the halls, but especially the halls of Irving Middle School. Go Rams! May you continue to walk the halls of heaven as you did here on earth. RIP Mr. Mahavier. My condolences to the entire Mahavier family. He was a gem & will be truly missed. One more thing, THANK YOU for YOUR SERVICES
AND YOUR SACRIFICES

I was lucky enough to work with Mr Mahavier when he was Principal at Irving Middle School in 1978, and got a chance to see what a great man he was. He will be missed dearly and I want to extend my sympathies to you and the family
