Coach Waugh was my football and lacrosse coach in high school and an awesome guy. He was the main driver behind lax in the capital district. I will forever miss playing against Arty during the Mohawk Summer Lacrosse games. Godspeed!

"Mr. Waugh" changed my life. At 13 years old, Back in 1968, he inspired me, encouraged me and gave me some vision. I am so sad to hear of his death but so happy to hear that he was honored, as he should have been.

Those leaving comments here have been eloquent in their heartfelt praise, and that's...

Arty was one of a kind, warm, understanding and supportive. At the same time he was a passionate, fiery competitor who led by example. He remained close to many of us well after high school. My condolences to you Nancy, and thank you for being with him all these years.
