Not sure what to say?

Mr Waugh was a awesome art teacher. Some of my best memories in high school were because of him. Thank you Sir. GCHS 1980

Coach Waugh was my football and lacrosse coach in high school and an awesome guy. He was the main driver behind lax in the capital district. I will forever miss playing against Arty during the Mohawk Summer Lacrosse games. Godspeed!

"Mr. Waugh" changed my life. At 13 years old, Back in 1968, he inspired me, encouraged me and gave me some vision. I am so sad to hear of his death but so happy to hear that he was honored, as he should have been.

Arty will be greatly missed. His beautiful artwork acts as an eternal tribute to him.

Mr. Waugh was one of my favorite art teachers who ultimately inspired me to go to college for art. I can still hear his laugh... Rest In Peace Mr Waugh

Mr. Waugh, I always looked forward to your art and mechanical drawing classes, may God speed, RIP.

Those leaving comments here have been eloquent in their heartfelt praise, and that's...

Arty was one of a kind, warm, understanding and supportive. At the same time he was a passionate, fiery competitor who led by example. He remained close to many of us well after high school. My condolences to you Nancy, and thank you for being with him all these years.

Coach Waugh was an incredible and influential teacher, coach and mentor. He was such a positive influence on my and so many other lives. My heart goes out to his Nancy and all his family. His legacy endures!
