My sincerest condolences to the Ziegler family. I had the privilege of having my Ziegler as my teacher during my time at Bassick from 2006-2010. He was and will forever be one of my favorite teachers. Not only was he dedicated to his job but dedicated to seeing his students succeed. He pushed us to strive for greatness. I worked with Mr. Ziegler for many years when he was an administrator at Central High. He was always an advocate for the students, especially the special needs students. He was a hard working individual that rarely, if ever, took a day off! I wish the family peace at this time.

Mr. Ziegler was a great teacher he was not only at bassick to teach he cared about his students and built a relationship with us !! I will always remember Mr. Ziegler as a great teacher and mentor may he RIP and condolences to all his Friend, family and loved ones

What a sad day for everyone who was touched by Pete. I knew Pete, through my daughter, Teri, when they attended Montville High School. He was a fun loving, really great guy.
