Read MoreI was surprised to see Arvid's death. He has called me periodically to inquire about my parents--my father, Melvin Lofgren and he were the last 2 from their seminary class, and he was much more vital and alive than my father has been for years.

I cannot imagine how many people were touched by Arvid's fierce faith or gentle actions. I am glad I knew him.
