Not sure what to say?

I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Lee Shelton (a great surgeon and emergency room physician) who was trained by Dr. Yancey before he passed. Dr. Shelton recalled that he did not see any complications when he rotated with Dr. Yancey. This speaks to the excellence of Dr. Yancey's surgical technique and his acumen. A surgical giant who is truly missed. His legacy lives on. Respectfully submitted - Mark Walker M.D.

Dr. Yancey is truly a legend I will be deeply missed by all who are blessed to have known him we thank you and we love you. Good night Brave Genius of a Soldier Love Dr. Dionne Hunter

When I started at Grady in 1985, I was sent to work at Hughes Spalding Medical Center. This is where I met and worked with Dr. Yancey. It was such a pleasure to work with him. Then I transferred to one of the neighborhood clinics, which was renamed in honor of Dr Yancey, it was renamed Asa Yancey MD Health Center. I stayed until my retirement, so you can say I started and ended my career with Dr. Asa G. YANCEY MD. REST IN PEACE.

Im goin to miss calling Dr. Yancy he was an inspiration to me after I was no longer able to take care of his wife which he made sure she was well taken care of. I notice one thing about him that made me proud to work for him he never stop supporting his black people.Im honor to have been part of a wonderful family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dr. Yancey was a well known and much loved person in the Hunter Hills Community, making house calls and knowing everyone he met as a good neighbor and patient in his practice. Thank you and bless you Dr. Asa Yancey....
