Dr Yancey was the first Dr I ever heard of in my household growing up as a child . My Grandmother was a patient of his and also my mother. He is to be honored . He took care of most of the citizens in Vine City . I will make sure my 3 year old daughter do her first black history school report on Dr Yancey . He is admired and was loved by the community. He is an inspiration and always will be to the African American citizens of Atlanta .
With love from all the lives you saved and touched....

First and foremost, payers to the family. Only after reading the obituary, did I learn of Caren's and Mrs Yancy's passing. To Arthur, Carolyn, and Asa Jr., peace be unto you.

Dear Carolyn, Asa, and Arthur,
My sympathies to all of you at the loss of your Dad. He was such a wonderful man and a excellent Doctor. The first surgery I ever had was performed by your Dad. He was so comforting and assuring. I was in High School at Northside at the time. We were all lucky to have him in our lives. I am glad our parent's were good friends and even though it has been years since I have seen you, I send you love from my heart and blessings that God will hold you near and...
