Not sure what to say?

Mr. Milstead was a class act. He actually cared for the kids he was teaching. I feel sorry for those that never was in his class so got to know him. He lived a couple of streets down from us so we also talked during the summers too....He will be sadly missed by all. Condolences to the family & all his friends too.-Butch PerDieu

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Milstead had worked for my dad (Alvin J. Witt Plumbing and Heating), as a helper. I´m guessing he was just out of high school or in college. When I got to BHS he would always ask me about my dad and tell me stories about working for him. May God give you His grace and comfort through the days ahead. Arlene (Witt) Gunter

I had Mr. Milstead for Earth Science when I was in the 8th grade at New London Academy (we were housed there because there was no room for us at BHS). Science was not a favorite subject of mine but he made it fun and interesting. After I graduated I would see him at the grocery stores where he worked. He was always himself - smiling - laughing- such a wonderful man to talk with. He will be missed by so many. His mom was my 1st grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary. She was a...

I was a 1970 graduate of BHS. Mr. Milstead was a great teacher. I had him for 8th grade Earth Science the year 120 BHS 8th graders used part of the New London school for classes. Mr. Milstead truly cared about his students. May God bless and comfort his family.

Heartfelt condolences as we, the Class of 73, celebrate our 50th reunion this Saturday we know Mr Milstead will be smiling down upon us He will forever remain in our hearts

Sorry to hear about Mr Milstead´s death. I was in his class in 8th grade at Brookville HS in the year 1963-64. I´m thinking it was science but unsure. I believe this was his first year teaching but not sure. He was a joy of a teacher and I loved being in his class. Praying for the family & friends. Linda "Claytor" Critcher

Mr. Milstead was my senior biology teacher and I always admired how he would tell it like it was. Once, in particular, when I walked into class and he practically yelled and told me to go make sure I didn't need his class to graduate. You will be missed, Mr. Milstead, there was no one quite like you. Jestina Barber (Burgess)
