Ashley Tidy was an exceptional choir director and organist who made a big impression on the young choristers who sang for him at St. Hilda's Church back in the early 1960s. When he travelled abroad during the summer he sent a post card to my sister, and me, our first from overseas. Over many years he scanned obituaries for the names of those he had trained and found that of our mother. Though he could not attend that funeral he sent us a tribute that was much appreciated and that allowed...

He was a gem among men. Brought out the best in each student. My favourite portable at EYCI

Wonderful memories of singing with Ashley in North Toronto Players! My sincere condolences to his family.

My sincere and very deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Tidy was a big part of my highschool life that I'm very grateful for. He believed in his students talented or not. He was one of those golden teachers who could and did change lives, I know that for a fact. I'd definitely would be there but I now reside in New Brunswick but will be there in thought and mind. RIP Mr. Tidy and thank you very much. Anne (Paddon) Roberts

My Deepest Condolences to Ashley and Family, he will certainly be missed for his presence and music at St John's. May he RIP.

My sincere condolences to the Tidy family. Ashley was a wonderful, kind and generous man. He has been our organist at Ionic lodge for quite some years. It was an honour to call him brother. It will not be the same without him.

To the Tidy Family our sincere condolences. May his dear soul rest in peace. Heaven will now hear his beautiful music which we enjoyed at St John's Presbyterian Church. Ashley you will be greatly missed. I will not forget our Sunday chats about grandchildren and get togethers with family. Be blessed dear Ashley. You will be greatly missed. Angella White St John's Presbyterian Church

My sincerest condolences to the family of Ashley Tidy. It was a privilege to have Ashley Tidy play the organ at St. John's Milliken Presbyterian Church shortly prior to his death. He really blessed our services with his excellent organ playing. His rendition of the tune "Happy Birthday" was simply marvellous and memorable. He will always be remembered with fond memories. May he rest in peace. Yours sincerely, Tim Suphal. .

Sincere condolences go out to the Tidy family on the passing of Ashley from the members of the Caribbean Chorale of Toronto. May he Rest in Peace and light perpetual shine on him.
