Not sure what to say?

Uncle Mike,
I will miss your stories about your life and the McKenney family geneology discoveries. Thank you for introducing me to my Virginia family through your research. I love you and will miss you.

My Uncle Mike was one of the most interesting men I have ever met. I loved to listen to his life stories and reading his cards and letters were like reading a book. I am thankful for the time we had to spend together during his recent visits to Texas. He leaves me with fond memories of someone I was so very proud to know.

Dear Brother,
I'm glad we got to see each other in March. We have always had many miles between us but we still had a lot of family memories to share at our visits to Virginia and your visits to Texas.
I'm sure going to miss you brother,(even though you never let me ride your bicycle).
Love you,
Your Sister

Uncle Mike,
Although the miles between us kept us from being a bigger part of each other's lives, you will always have a place in our hearts and in our memories, (especially at Christmas!). I know the ship you are sailing on now is glory bound. Bon Voyage...

Mike McKenney, thanks for all your many decades of service to the fabled Alexandria Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD), Alexandria Volunteer Firemen's Association (AVFA), Relief Truck & Engine Company #1 (RTE), Virginia State Firefighters Association (VSFA), and most recently the awesome AFD History Book project. You will be missed!

Fairwell Mike. You inspired us all to remember the true values of life and were always the gentleman of the group.

Dear Mike,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your guidance and wisdom

Mike not only helped me when I first took on the job of Rear Commodore but made me feel important and taught me how to be proud of our club and represend the members. I will miss his warm company now and forever.
