When I spoke to her at Willowgreen, I am not sure if she knew who I was - but I knew who she was - a kind, soft spoken woman who always, always, always made me feel welcome. A woman who opened up her home for a surprise bridal shower for me. A woman who taught her daughters by example to be gracious and loving to those fortunate enough to touch any of their lives. I relayed the information of Aunt Astrid's passing to Clayton Nielsen yesterday after receiving the information from Nancy Nielsen. He told me that he remebers her as always being a very sweet lady. He told me that his sister Hazel was only two years younger than Aunt Astrid and that they did things together when they were younger. Astrid was a real neat lady.I was her 'tax lady' for several years and I loved working with her until I moved to Georgia.She was bright and kind. My sympathy to her family, I was saddened by her passing.
