Not sure what to say?

One of the loveliest Alpha Delta Kappa sisters I had the pleasure of meeting. She often warmly welcomed us into her home for council meetings. Really miss this elegant sister.

I recently got together with a few colleagues, and the conversation turned towards our respective teachers who have had the most profound impact on us. Mrs. Konstan was one of those people for me. After that conversation with colleagues, I "googled" her, only to come across this incredibly sad news. Mrs. Konstan (I'm 43 years old, but she will always be Mrs. Konstan, my 4th grade teacher at Thomas Edison) was "strict," but taught me discipline, and it was with her that I had one of the...

To the greater Konstan family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Konstan family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of pain and sorrow. Athena was a bright star in everyone's world, a pillar of strength and a beautiful lady on the inside and outside. She will be sadly missed. May her memory live on through all whom were blessed to meet her/know her/love her. Zoi se esas. With sincere condolences, the Chidester family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am unfortunately in San Diego and will not be able to attend services. My prayers are with you. Sincerely, Mary Maratsos Thompson

Mrs. Konstan was my 6th Grade teacher at Thomas Edison, a long time ago. I'm 25 now. And I have to say, she definetly installed passion into my work. Whether it was through study, or when I was conflict manager haha. I can honestly say my first strict teacher, but boy did it help me out for great days ahead. Rest in peace Mrs. K. #tigersforever

My sympathy goes out to Athena's family. She was a wonderful teacher and left her mark on so many children. She will be missed.

I was a teacher at Thomas Edison in 1973,
kindergarten & 1st grade - it was a pleasure working with & knowing Athena,my prayers & thoughts are with the family.
