I was a student at the Milwaukee Country Day School from 1960-1964. Miss Arndt (she will always be addressed that way by me) was the Head Master's gal Friday/secretary.

She always had a calming influence as to my not infrequent trips to the Head Master. Her poise, professionalism, kindness and sweetness were comforting at all times. Of course she will always be special fo that reason!

She was a wonderful supporter of the school and its merger into the University School of...

Audrey was my aunt. She was special to my brother and I. She always visited us in Michigan as we were growing up. As I became a young adult she came to several of the duty stations I was at. Sometimes she had old friends in neighboring towns, so we would go visiting. She treated my children special, just as she had done with me. We called her the fun aunt as she liked parties, playing games, and traveling. Two of her aunts, my great aunts Helen and Loretta, would often be her traveling...

I do want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Audrey Arndt. She was a very caring, gracious and wonderful person and it was a joy to speak to her. My son, Sandy Ettinger graduated from USM in 1987 and always enjoyed speaking to her. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
