Age 91, formerly of East Aurora, passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bessel; devoted mother of Thomas Bessel, Michael (Jeanne) Bessel, Patricia (James) Hall, Karen DiGiacomo, James (Elizabeth) Bessel and Jennifer Svabeda; cherished grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 4. Audrey had a full life. She was born and raised in Bemidji, Minnesota, a fact she always reminded us of, and met her husband Joseph in Colorado. They married and proceeded to raise six children in Freeport, New York where Joe taught High School. She was always busy with raising the kids but did find time for various clubs, watching sports and participating in church activities. Her late in life affinity for peppermint patties, M&Ms and Chick-Fil-A will always make us smile. She will be sorely missed by all. Relatives and friends may visit Wood Funeral Home, 784 Main St, East Aurora on Friday, November 8th from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9th at 10AM, Immaculate Conception Church, 520 Oakwood Ave, East Aurora. Please assemble at church. Inurnment Oakwood Cemetery.
