Not sure what to say?

I am sorry that we are so far away and therefore did not get to know each other that well. Also because of that distance not being able to attend her funeral. I remember Audrey and her husband, Johnny coming to Portales, NM to the my grandparent's cousins reunions. It was so good of them to do so. Unfortunately, a lot of that generation are gone now, including my grandparents, Harold and Toy Stockard, their boys, Sonny, Jimmie & Vern Stockard as well as my great Aunt & Uncle Olive and Vic...

So bittersweet. Sweet for Audrey who is now enjoying life in the presence of Jesus. Bitter for the rest of us who will miss her presence with us. I first met Audrey through my parents. She would often join her brother, Bill, at the Golden Corral in Springfield, VA, where my parents also ate almost every day. There was a lot of joy at those gatherings and Audrey was always a ray of sunshine. Later, she and I realized we shared a special friendship; that we were comrades-in-Christ. I...
