Je ne vous oublie pas Isabelle et Arthur et toi aussi Monique. Gildas

Une pensée pour vous Isabelle et Arthur en ce triste jour anniversaire. Avec toute mon affection. Gildas

I once sat next to Anne Kinsolving Brown at lunch at I Tatti and mentioned that I had gone to Yale with her nephew. "Isn't he beautiful!" was her reply, and indeed he was one of the handsomest undergraduates of his time.

I only knew Gus for a few years as his new neighbor on Fishers Island. He was a regular dinner guest at our home on Fishers most Saturday evenings. His humble approach taught me two important lessons. I learned from Gus that one shouldn't judge people too quickly because sometimes they have a good...

Gus was a strong member of the lightweight crew on which he rowed with distinction and vigor. I had a chance to talk with him several times on the phone in recent years. My impression at Yale was that he cared about others and what he did with them. That continued to be the case. While slight in build he pulled his own weight and a lot more. I will miss him and so will the rest of us.

Dear Monique: our deepest sympathies on your loss. It has been so very long since we last saw each other but memories of our weekend sailing trip off Fisher's Island and dinner at the Kinsolving family home are as fresh as ever. Gus was a remarkably accomplished man and clearly left a beautiful legacy. God bless you and all your family at this difficult time. Haig and Thelma Nalbantian

I'm so sorry for your loss. May the precious memories of your dear loved one comfort you. Psalms 94:18,19
