Austin Cason

Austin Cason, age 88, of Talladega passed away on May 9, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Janice Jacks; daughters, Deborah White and Buffy Taylor Hay (Winston); sons, Farris A Cason (Heather) and George V. Mizzell (Rebecca); grandchildren, Joseph Cason, Sarah Thomas, Jonathon Cason, Ean Nazarchyk, Mathew Greene, Charolotte Haynes, Tina Taylor, Kala Peters, and Justin Taylor; great-grandchildren, Covington Thomas, Holland Thomas, Gunner Mattox, Hattie Grace Nazarchyk, Emma Greene, Jackson Greene, Abi Johnson, Abbie Holmes, Clay Holmes, Connor Peters, Camden Peters, and Carina Peters. He is preceded in death by his father, Garnett Cason; mother, Pearl Lee Cason Kohn; and brothers, James Cason and Harold Cason. He served as a U.S. Marine during Korea, was an avid motorcycle rider, and enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing.
