Cathleen Riservato

Cathleen Elizabeth Riservato (née Harbulak) passed away on the evening of February 1st, 2026 at the age of 44, following a five year battle with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

Cate was born in Long Island, NY on November 30, 1981 to parents John and Catherine Harbulak. She was very driven and successful, earning her Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature at St. John's University in Queens, NY. Following her passion for production, she began her distinguished career at the History Channel in 2005. While quickly gaining the respect of her colleagues and after many awards, promotions & media recognization, Cate was promoted to Marketing Director until her disease overtook her abilities in 2020. While working full-time in Manhattan and caring for her two children, Cate earned her Masters degree in Special Education from Adelphi University. Cate's enormous heart and inspiring soul will carry on in her children, Gabriella and Michael, that she shared with her beloved Mike Riservato. She is also survived by her parents, John and Catherine, her two sisters Patti (Kris) and Jessica (Tim), and her three cherished nieces, Ellie, Avery and Taylor. Cate was predeceased by her big brother Timothy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Bellmore, NY, with burial immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
