Austin was a friend of our family for nearly 80 years. That association started in the late 1940s when he was an original member of the Boonsboro scout troop of which my father was the original scout master. Many great stories come from that period. Austin has generously continued that association over the years raising money and generally supporting scouting. He also remained a family friend.
