The Warren family - Stryker, Happy, Bunny and Henry

Please accept my deepest condolences during this sad time. My mother, Happy Warren, spoke often, and with great feeling, about what a wonderful woman your mother was. They shared a deep and abiding commitment to public service, education and devoted themselves to helping others. Now there are two special women to remember with respect and love.

I'm so sorry for your loss, John. I know your mother from the well-spoken, kindly son she raised. Best to you and your family in these difficult times.

She inspired me to become a conscientious objector. Thank you for the guidance, Mrs. Ashbaugh.

Dear John
I am so sorry for your loss. God bless her! Life goes on and we must move on!

Thanks to all who have signed this guest book so far. Please add your thoughts about Mom as you are moved.

Lowell and I have been up in Redding for the past 24+ hours getting things ready for the memorial service next week (Saturday, Jan. 15). All of us 0 Roger, Lowell, and me (and our wives and children) look forward to seeing all of Mom's friends who can share in this service at Pilgrim Church on that day. And if you cannot attend, please feel free to leave your entry here. Thanks!

I am one of the many people touched by her life. I will always remember Barbara's warmth, intelligence and awareness of others. My condolences to everyone...

I remember visiting Mrs. Ashbaugh as a kid, and she gave us tea and apple pie ice cream, which I had never had before. How odd that just a week or so ago, I saw some apple pie ice cream, and instantly thought of Mrs. Ashbaugh. I just had to buy it.

She was such a wonderful person, and the community is so much the poorer for her loss.

I'll miss "Mrs. Ashbaugh." I knew her from when I was just a little kid growing up in Redding. She was the last of the families that were there as I grew up on Bonnie Drive.

She was always so friendly, warm, asking how everything was with me, etc... It was always a joy to go visit her, and especially see her at the Christmas Eve service every year. This year's Christmas Eve service won't be the same without her smiling face. I will be there on the 15th to share in the...
