Barbara "Basia" Wiszowata Barkley, wife of Clifton Barkley and mother of Natalie, passed away unexpectedly while in Emerald Isle, NC.
Family will receive friends June 23rd from 4-6pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh).
Please consider a donation in her memory to the Emerald Isle Recreation Center to purchase an AED Defibrillator for the fitness room. Checks made payable to: EI Parks & Recreation, with Barkley in the memo, mailed to: EI Parks and Recreation - Attn: Alesia Sanderson - 7500 Emerald Drive - Emerald Isle, NC 28594.

Barbara, Natalie and Cliff introduced us to the NC beauty of the NC beaches when we first moved to NC. But we were struck even more with the warmth, grace and friendliness offered by the Barkley family themselves. We will be in touch soon Cliff, but send our love and prayers now. Barbara was something very special, and will be missed.

My husband, Denny, and I have spent many great days on the beach at Emerald Isle with Clifton and Barbara. They are wonderful people. We always enjoyed hearing about their daughter Natalie. Barbara will be missed. Our sincerest sympathies .
