They also serve who stand and wait .. Thank you, Freeman Family, for sharing your remarkable parents/grandparents with all of us. They both are heroes never to be forgotten by a grateful nation. God bless you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's death, I was planning to write her about Ed. I just learned about Ed's story and want to tell the family how much his honor and valor means to me...a person none of you know.

I received an email about Ed's rescue of injured men in Vietnam and I was very touched. If you have not seen the email, please email me with your address and I will be happy to forward it to you.

You father, and I suspect, your Mom too were real heros and people...

I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's death. I worked as a cocktail waitress at the Vic Haus and remember her and Ed both as very gracious and wonderful people. I don't believe I ever met their boys, but extend my condolences to them.

Barb was a wonderful lady. Our lives are richer for having known her and having her as a part of our lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.Don and myself knew the lovely lady for many years. She used to come over and cut and curl all four of our daughters. She has been a very special lady to know. I shall miss her friendship, but she is in a better place with Ed.She was so proud of her whole family. Remember the GOOD TIMES!!!!

My heart felt condolences to the Freeman family. I met Barbara and Ed many years ago when I was a waitress at Vic Haus food and Drink, they would come in with all their friends on friday nights to have dinner and dance. Ed was always the entertainer, his stories of all of his and Barbaras's life experiences were so fasinating. Barbra had some good stories about Ed too! I am proud to have had the privilege of knowing both of them and hearing the wonderfull stories of their children and grand...

My Grandma was a very special lady. I am so blessed to have had so much time with her. Not only did I know her into adulthood but she was a huge part of our kids lives. Cooper and Bronco were the sparkle in her eye! I am going to miss her more than you all will know. But she is now with Grandpa and they are together again! I love you Grandma and please watch over all of us!!! Cooper told me to tell you to tell God and Grandpa hello!

Mike, Doug, and family,

It has been an honor and privilege to know your mother and father. As you know, Bob and I stayed in their home during our "backpacking trips to Idaho. Both Barbara and Ed were super great to me and I will never forget their kindness and hospitality. She sure could tell some stories on Ed. Jan's (wife) and my prayers are with you and family during this time in your life. I assure you, I understand what you are going through because both of my parents...
