Not sure what to say?

I was saddened and surprised to learn about Barbara's passing today. My sympathies go to John and Barbara and John's children and grandchildren. Barbara and I were both counselors at Fox Valley Technical College in the 1970's and 80's. I also worked with her in AAUW when she was the Wisconsin State President and I was President of the Milwaukee branch. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.

My beautiful Aunt Barb! You taught me how to make Christmas bows, belt out a song from a musical (I remember your attempts to explain the meaning of Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair...), took me on wild rides in your fancy convertible and for slow ones on the Como Park tortoise. You made matching bedspreads and curtains for my sister Lynne and me, coats, dresses, purses and later taught me to sew. And you were the one who talked my mother into letting me shave my legs! I am...

I worked for Barbara for 10 years at Fox Valley Technical College in the Health & Human Services Division. She was a dedicated counselor and student advocate.

My sympathies to the family.

Brian and Julie, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mom. I have such great memories of her from both Americanos and Northmen. May she Rest In Peace!

John, Brian, & Julia...please know our sympathy and thoughts are with you. As your neighbors, we have many memories of fun times together. As a colleague of Barb’s at FVTC, there are also memories of the work there that we did together. We are so sorry for your loss. With thoughts and prayers,
Judy & Austin Boncher

I had the privilege to work with Barbara at FVTC for several years. She was an advocate for her students; she also was a strong supporter of the underprivileged. Besides her great impact on staff and students at FVTC, Barbara lent her time and talents to many roles in AAUW over the years . My condolences to John and the rest of the family. RIP my friend.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Love you and miss you always.

As a professional working at a sister Wisconsin Technical College, I grew to know Barb with admiration and respect. What she did on behalf of so many others during the course of her career is priceless.

She was almost 4 years younger than I am. We used to play with our dolls in the spirhea bushes in front of our house in Worthington. She was really good at math and I wasn’t. I was very jealous. I will miss her desperately.
