I was very saddened to learn Barbara lost her long fought battle. She was a wonderful person and I am glad that I had the opportunity to work with Barbara to organize a few of the SAH reunions that brought many of our classmates together so long after graduation. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I'm really struck by how many high school classmates were still in touch with Barbara, and still admired and loved her. (See the photo album for a shot of her visit with some of us -- outside the reunion setting -- a couple of years ago.) It is evidence of how beloved she was by so many. Thanks for sharing her with us.

Willie, Just wanted you to know how much joy and laughter Basha brought to our lives. I know she is smiling and watching over us right now. You will always have your angel at your side. Babs was a brilliant, caring, funny person. Whoever was fortunate to know her was truly blessed and always will be!

In 1967 we were freshman's at St. Angela Hall. Barbara was at the Daily News spelling bee and her mom requested that I be measured for her uniform. Boy I am happy it fit. We all had four wonderful years, lost touch, got in touch again, but never forgot. We know that Barbara is in heaven watching over us and she will always be in our thoughts and prayers
