Not sure what to say?

Barbara was a dear friend for so short a time, during her 3 month AFS placement in Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. Her loving presence made a huge contribution to our school in general, and to me in particular. I am so sorry to hear so belatedly of her passing. My sympathy and condolences to all.

Daniel, I'm so sorry that I have been so busy to even notice what all is going on in your life. I'm sorrowed to hear that your wife has passed. I know you have been battling things for a while and there must be some form of relief, knowing that she no longer suffers, but I'm sure it is overshadowed by your sorrow and loneliness. She sounds like such a great woman and I would have enjoyed meeting her. Please know that you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Daniel,
Barbara was such a sweet and beautiful Christian. Her smile was contagious and her laughter was infectious. She will be truly missed. We have lost a very special person but the Lord has a beautiful new Angel with Him.
May the Lord wrap you in His Peace during this time of loss.

In His Name,
Yancey Langley, Grand Prairie, TX

Dear Daniel,
Please accept my deepest sympathies, as I am so very sorry for the loss of Barbara. I met Barbara at Scarborough in 1989 when she took me under her wing. I was a beginning recorder player and was in awe of her - so talented, lovely, humorous, genuine, and approachable. We spent much time happily chatting about music and she encouraged me to study more seriously. It's because of Barbara that I joined the early music groups at my various colleges, and I still play today....

She was a very kind and generous person. I knew her from Scarborough Faire; and she was one of the performers who loved to share time with others. My deepest sympathies to those near her.

My condolences go to Daniel and the rest of the family. I got to know Barbara quite well during her time at St. Paul's in Marquette. She and Daniel added so much to our community. A great help to our Camp New Day (camp for children of incarcerated parents), she generously assisted us with our publicity and web site. I remember her as a sweet, considerate, and helpful person, as well as smart and fun to be around. I hope she has found peace and that the family will find comfort in their...

Sometimes, you meet someone for the very first time and you know instantly, they will impact your life forever. Barbara was one of those so gifted and did just that. I thank God I was honored enough to know her. I am also blessed to know how much you both shared your gifts with my son, as well as myself and family. I know Patrick loved her very much as well you, her husband. You have both been a wonderful role model, friend. It has been an honor to have you both in our lives. We love you very...

Dear Mr. Susan-
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Susan was a very special lady and a wonderful musician. We feel blessed that we were able to have the opportunity to take guitar lessons from her and share in her love of music. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
