Barbara Jane Willinger

Barbara and I were best friends from the fourth grade through high school. We attended different collages and then she moved back to Ohio, but we kept in touch over the years. I still consider her one of my dearest friends. It was so good to be able to visit with her a couple of years ago and to see that she still remembered me, though dementia had robbed her of so much. So very sorry just is not adequate. Though Barbara's worldly pain is gone, we're never ready to give them up, but I AM so sorry, Kirsten and Kirk. Most people never knew this, including Barbara, but she was my first, great love. We met at MTSU. I was a sophomore, and she a freshman. We both enrolled in a social dance class, and the instructor had us line up around the room, with each boy turning to his right, and introducing himself to his partner. Kirsten and Kirk! Your mother was a rock and she navigated life with a smile on her face. Though it wasn´t an easy life, she was blessed with the two of you! There are moments in life we all wish we had more of and one of those for me would be seeing more of your Mom! We love you Barbara, may you now be at peace in the presence of our Lord! Uncle Rick

Dear Kirsten and Kirk, Your dear mother was a part of my childhood too. I always admired how she decorated your home, and how neat and tidy she kept it. She was always kind to me. I so appreciate that. As a teacher she touched many, many lives. That is a wonderful legacy. With all my love, Kelly
