Raleigh, North Carolina - Barry Broughton Dale, age 72, of Raleigh and Clayton, North Carolina, went to his heavenly home on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was born in Raleigh, NC on December 27, 1950, to the late Hubert Pugh Dale and Margaret Francis Broughton.

Barry was an avid Tar Heel fan and loved his family deeply, including those he worked with at Southeast Utility Trailer, LLC (formally CRTS, Inc.) for 47 years, where he was not only an employee but a mentor and friend. He was loved by all he encountered. Being a father was his greatest gift, and he loved and protected his girls like no other. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his daughters, Laura Ashley Cherry and husband, Preston of Davidson, NC and Anna Bazemore and husband, Jonathan of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, William Preston Cherry, Caroline Gates Cherry, Andrew Hudson Bazemore, and Myers Broughton Bazemore; and by his siblings, Julianne Ragsdale (husband, Gordon) Clark Dale (wife, Holt); and many nieces and nephews that were dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his brother, G. Frank Dale.

Barry will always be remembered as kind, genuine, generous, and loyal. He was a friend to many- fellow employees, customers, vendors, favorite restaurant staff, gas station attendants where he got his early morning coffee, and the car dealership salesman he so enjoyed negotiating with. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, Papa, brother, or friend, and will miss Barry every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 on November 11th, 2023 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
