I can remember the rare and special times I shared with Barry and his siblings as kids. We were first cousins and were both even named after our grandfather, Benjamin Samuel Sacks. As a little boy he was so cute and even then you could tell he had a devilish way about him. When he married Fay and they had Maddi I was so proud of him for developing his business and doing so well. My heart now breaks because I know how hard he always tried to be there for them. My condolences go to Fay and Maddi. Barry had a personality larger than life. He was one-of-a-kind.

Our families spent so many holidays and vacations together. Barry and my dad were best friends, Fay and my mom are best friends, and Maddi, my brother and I view each other as cousins or extended siblings. My brother and I have always called them Uncle Barry and Aunt Fay, and Maddi did the same for my parents. Chosen family is so special. So many sleepovers and fun times we all had together as families... and we were two jewish families who always got together for Christmas day and Easter, oy vey! I know we will all cherish those memories forever. Barry and I spoke just a few weeks ago, and one of his fondest memories was when we all went to North Carolina and got a beach house together. We laughed and reminisced about all the good times our families had...and we got Chik-fil-A, thanks Uncle Bear! I'm so grateful to have spent that time with him.

Now Barry and my parent Rebecca will watch over all of us: I know that in my heart. I told him when we hung out, "Maybe me and Madison will make a hit TV show one day and make it big in Hollywood." He said, "From your mouth to Gods ears!" I know he's going to pass along that message to the big guy!

The Rini and Sacks families will be best friends forever. Death does not stop love, remember that everyone!
With all the love in my heart,
Lyndsay Rini

PS, I'll get some awesome photos up later this week.
