Not sure what to say?

Leslie, last week Pam Murphy and I were talking about friends we wondered especially enjoyed knowing and wondering how they were doing. I mentioned you and she said that Bart had passed away. So, I went to the newpaper archives and pulled up his obituary. I was so sorry to hear about his illness and death. I think of you often and miss having you around. I really feel that my life was increased by knowing you and Bart. Cathy Walston

Leslie, perhaps you remember me as a faculty wife, and later faculty, from the U of A art department. When I lived in Illinois, I had heard from Wayne Entice that he was ill. Now I've returned to Tucson, and was so sorry to read his recent obituary in the paper. Please accept my sympathy for your loss. All my best wishes to you and your family.

Dear Leslie: Don't know if you remember me at the U of W. But I have wondered about you and Bart for many years. I knew you were in Arizona, but didn't know much more. I am so sorry to hear about Bart's death. I offer you my love and support at this difficult time. I wish I had known in time to come to the funeral but I just found out a few hours too late. Lotsa water under the bridge since those University days. But I remember them with great fondness. Life was simple then, though we thought...

To family of Bart Morse -
My husband, Myron "Mike" Morse, saw Bart's obituary in the Arizona Daily Star. Mike met Bart, his cousin once removed, years ago in Washington when Bart was going to school there. About the time we moved to Tucson, Bart had retired. Though we didn't have opportunity to become better acquainted with Bart and family, we heard wonderful reports about his paintings from Mike's sister, Maxine.
The two of us send our sympathy.

I was fortunate to be in several of Bart's art classes at the UA. It's been 10 years, but when I gather with fellow alumni we always end up telling Bart stories. Not just a good teacher - a real hoot! So sorry for your loss.

Dear Leslie - I am sorry to hear of Bart's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I think of you often as I am on Soldiers Trail and remember all the wonderful paintings in your home. I still have a few of the "Bart" bookmarks in my scriptures that you handed out - "a lovely memory." Much Love, Marilyn West

It's comforting to know that Bart's spirit and legacy are forever accessible through his life's work in art and the loving family he and Leslie raised.

Our thoughts are with you.

Hi, Leslie: I seemed to lose contact after Bart's retirement and your move to Oregon. However your family frequently was in my thoughts due to daily seeing one of Bart's watercolors, plus an early Aaron watercolor/collage in my home. [Thank you Aaron for including the site for viewing more of your father's artworks -- I've also wondered how your own art progresses.] Finally, my sincere sympathy to your family at the loss of an outstanding family member within a truly outstanding family. I so...
