Ben Swindle

Mr. Swindle was one of the kindest and sweetest gentlemen I have ever known. I grew up knowing him when our families attended the First Presbyterian Church in Prattville. Very sorry to hear about your Dad. I have many fond memories of him as a wonderful, kind and fun guy. I remember how much I enjoyed all us kids sitting in a circle at night in our front yards and Mr. Swindle telling ghost stories. That was great. I share the ones I remember with my grandson now.

I was sad to learn of the death of Ben, through my friend Barry Newman. In my early years in Skyland Park, I grew up next door to Ben and Faith and their children. John, Barry & I spent many days together. I remember Ben as a strong and gentle man. It sounds like he lived a beautiful and full life and touched many people along the way. God bless the family during this difficult time.
