Not sure what to say?

Dear Barton, Lee and family (and Toby!), I am so sorry I am only now learning of Ben's death. I tried to reach him for his birthday, and when his phone was out of order for more than a couple of days I feared the worst. And this is awful. I first met Ben in 1968 when I was just a teenager out in the world at his first real job, and in all this time I have met so few people who were always so supportive and in your corner as Ben was. As a friend he never let you down. When I would mention...

To Richard, Barton, Lee, et al. I only learned of Bucky's passing on Jan 18th through my cousin Burton Adler. It came as a great shock and saddened my heart. Bucky and I go back a long way to the 50s when we shared a mutual experience in DeMolay. I recall being invited to visit with him in NH where we vacationed. I still cherish a black and white photo taken of us there. Prior to my leaving the Boston area in 1957, Bucky and I would often get together, particularly if it was for a DeMolay...

On behalf of my mother, my sisters and myself I want to send our deepest sympathy to the family of Ben Adler. Unfortunately we just heard the terrible news today and we are all so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a good friend to our family for so many years. He has looked out for me since I was 13 years old and I am so saddened to hear he is gone. His energy, love and caring nature are just beyond words... I'll miss you Ben... I miss you now...

Dearest Adler Family,
On behalf of Jewish National Fund, we are so saddened to lose our dear friend Ben. Ben was an inspiration to all of us with his energy, positive outlook and dedication. He was a wonderful volunteer who helped us raise money and awareness of our critical projects in Israel. Ben attended many of our events with such enthusiasm. We will miss him dearly and offer our deepest condolences.

Whether it was services at his temple, membership at the Masons, or a kosher butcher, Ben opened many areas of his life to his friends.

Many prayers and warm thoughts to the Adler family on the loss of our friend Ben. He came into our lives and brought hope and strength to a single mother of four small children. He became a Big Brother to my son and continued throughout his growing years to guide him. We will always remember his compassion and devotion. No one could ask for a better friend.

Our sympathies to the Adlers. 40 years ago Ben became my Jewish Big Brother at a critical time for my Mom and our broken family. The bond we shared followed me through school and throughout my life experiences. Ben was a guiding spirit and sounding board. We spoke when I deployed to Bosnia and later Iraq. He never forgot my birthday or wedding anniversary. The lessons, the memories, the love will continue. David Rapaport

To The Adler Family
I would like to offer my condolences to all of the Adler Family concerning the passing of Ben. He was one of the most caring individuals I have ever known. Ben helped me through several low spots in my life. His caring and deep concern for the welfare of others was evident for the many years I knew him. I will miss him dearly.
