Benjamin Bivins

Dr. Bivins was the example of everything a doctor should be. He was caring and kind, very knowledgeable yet able to explain things in a way that non-medical people could understand what was going on. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, but I am so glad that I had the opportunity to have had him as a doctor on several occasions. My prayers for all the family and friends who are grieving and hurting. His was a life well lived and I hope that the knowledge of that brings comfort to all...

Dr. Bivins was my dermatologist in 1982. He removed ear keloid. I was anxious to get them done before I went back home for a visit. I told him I was from a small town outside of Macon, and he asked, Gray or Haddock. This is a processed, and took care of me, and I have never had anymore problems with ear keloids. We laughed and he told me about Alice Walker and her book, The Color Purple and suggested I read it. May the work he has done speak for him.

Its hard to say in a few words what I thought about Ben. He was a kind, gentle man, so talented and we are fortunate enough to have one of his paintings, which I cherish. He has been a dear friend for many years and I was truly blessed to have known him. The world will be a sadder place without Ben. Rest in peace, my friend.

Curtis and I are saddened to hear of Ben's passing. We will miss seeing him on his daily walks. His was always cheerful and his smile broad. His desire to connect with others was truly warm and inviting. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Ken and I are so sorry to hear of Ben’s passing. We will remember seeing he and Elise walking in the neighborhood. He would always have a delightful smile and a bit of conversation. May he rest peacefully with the angels.

Dr. Bivens was a great doctor and kind man who listened to me complain about my teenage acne and allergies. May God comfort and bless his family.
