Not sure what to say?

It is almost 6 years since I lost one of my best friends.

We were an unlikely combo, a tan suave blonde dude from Florida and a pale geeky engineer from the north. We hated each other at first, rowing freshman crew together.

Over time we bonded over beer, humor, and useless trivia.

I had the honor to stand up with him the day he got married, and learn to love his wife and beloved family.

The last time I saw him was at a Cornell reunion, post shark attack. It...

Ben was a great friend, I have many fond memories with Ben his smile and humor. His time with us was truly a gift, God bless and may his memory be a comfort for us all.

Always a smile. Ben was a true "great guy." I am stunned. The world is a little worse off. My thoughts go to Jonna and the girls. I know they were the center of his world.

To the Brown Family,
Our thoughts and Prayers are with now and Forever.

Benjamin Brown on Left with Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity Brothers from Cornell University, 1984

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Ben Brown. Condolences to his extended family. He was a friend and a fraternity brother from Cornell University, he rushed me when I was a freshman and he was a seniour. He was an avid socializer and had a great sense of humour back in those days. He had a great dog Gator who lived in the house with us, and Ben loved his dog dearly. I later visited him when he was a law student at Florida University in Gainesville when he was a law student so long...

Dear Bob, Tallulah and family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so sorry for the loss of Ben. We pray for you now and days ahead. May Ben rest in peace.

Best Wishes,
Charlotte Taylor, Sharon Taylor and Danette Brockhouse

When I think back on some of the most fun I had growing up in South Florida, most of those memories involve Ben. So intelligent, talented and wise beyond his years. A fierce competitor yet he was where the fun was. It is hard to believe he is no longer here. I liked the world better knowing he was in it. Mr. and Mrs. Brown, Bob, Bowen, Melissa and all of you - I am so deeply sad for this devastating loss. Sending loving thoughts to all of you.

I pray for the family of Ben Brown. What a horrible loss of a great man. I graduated with Ben from Columbus in 82 and have fond memories of Ben and his character. RIP and may God bless his family.

Dear Jonna, Connor, Peyton and Preslie,
I was so very sorry and saddened to hear of your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you lots of love and prayers.
