Benjamin A. Candillo
May 27, 1949 - September 21, 2021
Overland Park, Kansas - Benjamin A. Candillo passed away peacefully at Kansas City Hospice House on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his father, Benito (1988). Left to mourn him are his mother, Mary Candillo and his five siblings, Sylvia, Teresa, Patricia, Christopher and Frederick (Roxana), including many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Benjamin loved playing all types of sports, mainly baseball, basketball and football. He loved watching the Chiefs and the Royals. Benjamin graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School (1964), from Bishop Lillis High School (1968) and then answered his calling during the Vietnam War, serving honorably from 1968-72, in the U.S. Air Force. Benjamin retired from General Motors Fairfax, after 30 years.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, there will be a private family service on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be left for the family at www.mcgilleyhoge.com
