Not sure what to say?

Ben Darrington, a very fascinating, interesting, talented, intellectual, socially-aware, and gifted young man. He did so much in so little time. What a wonderful son you raised! I think about you all every day and grieve with you.

I've never met Ben in person, I have only met Ben through his online posts and from those close to him. He was truly an inspiring individual who will be missed by his many friends, those who had the pleasure of his company during his lifetime and especially his family. Yet, somehow, I can feel his presence looking down on us all smiling peacefully, reassuring us all that things will be okay. My deepest sympathy, to his family.

i remember when ben used to be my neighbor in helena when we lived in the west valley.we used to be friends back around first and second grade. my brothers and i used to play duck hunt at his house because he had the duck hunt bazooka. im sorry to hear hes left us all. but it is nice to hear he was so accomplished in life. one could say he lived the kind of life most of us could only dream of having.

I just heard about Ben. He and I were good friends from the sixth to ninth grade; I still remember the slide didgeridoo he invented. When he left for St. Paul’s, we all knew he was destined for great things; now, I deeply regret not keeping in touch. I had somehow taken it for granted that our paths would cross again -- it seemed inevitable someone like Ben would become a mover and shaker in the world, easy to track down by his wake of brilliance. He was one of the people most worthy of...

I had the pleasure of teaching Ben Social Studies in the seventh grade at Helena Middle School. Ben was one of the most impressive students I ever had the pleasure of working with during my 34 years of teaching. I can still picture his excitement and enthusiam with learning. Several memories that immeidately come to mind are 1) the aboriginal music instrument he brought to class and shared with all, and 2) the excitement he displayed when I gave him a hughe poster sized crossword puzzle of...

Much love-

Brad & Val we are sorry for your loss & our prayers are with you.

You will be missed by the world, but especially by me. Rest in peace.

To the Darrington Family -

Ben was an amazing person, an influential thinker, and a good friend. We had many chats, laughs, good beer, and great times while I lived in Seattle and hung out with him. He was always full of great advice that I will always remember and appreciate. Ben never turned down an invite to spend time talking about life's oddities. I also remember when he came to my birthday party and met my friends from work and we watched Discovery Channel's Planet Earth...
