Benjamin W. Ward

Ben was such a gentle man! I will so miss his taste testing of the cafe food with an honest and gentle feedback always. We will miss you Ben! Jeanie

So sad to hear this news. I know he will be missed by so many! Sandra, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bootsie was a wonderful young man who brought joy and laughter to those of us who had the pleaseure of knowing him. He was a high school friend that I will always remember.

Ben was a dear friend, fraternity brother, my insurance agent and most importantly a brother in Christ. I was privileged to know him from all of these perspectives but especially in our faith journey.

Ben and I were Brothers in TEKE while at ODU, actually Charter members as a result of going national in '63. He, along with others, made guys like me feel special. There is a lot that could be talked about that some would surely remember, but not now. Bootsie was a friend to all and I'm sure, an asset to every organization he was a part of. He will be missed.

I will always remember that Mr. Ward always had a smile. He and Mrs. Ward had just as much influence in my life as my own parents. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Always praying for HHHHH and family.❤

I am saddened to hear of Ben’s passing. I met Ben when we were Rotarians in the 1980s. Having moved away from Tidewater in the late 90s and then back to the area 4 years ago, I’d recently often thought about reconnecting. Alas, this did not happen and I regret not having made a more concerted effort to get back in touch. My condolences to the friends and family of Ben. RIP brother!
