Although Bernie was 25 years older than me, he was a great role model that my parents (his Aunt and Uncle Lilly and Julius) encouraged me to follow. I was thrilled that Bernie came with his other cousin Arthur and I to visit Wyszkow, Poland on a US government sponsored trip to see and find our common roots!
